Coffee House & Bookstore — Downtown Milwaukee
Page & Pour is a slow-down kind of place on N Water St, right along the Riverwalk — a coffee bar on one side, a used-and-new bookshop on the other, and a whole lot of couches in between. Come alone with a novel, drag your book club along, or just get out of the house for a while.
Grounds For Everyone
Wisconsin winters are long — we built the kind of room you actually want to sit in. Some people come to disappear into a chapter. Some come for the standing Tuesday book club. Some just need Wi-Fi, an outlet, and a cortado. All of it happens here, at the same time, without anyone feeling out of place.
Window-side single seats, good lamp light, no pressure to make conversation.
The long communal table seats ten — first choice for book clubs and study groups.
Every table's within reach of a plug. Password's on your receipt.
Low shelves, floor cushions, and a standing Saturday-morning story time.
Off The Shelf
About a third of our shelves turn over every month with staff trade-ins. The rest is a steady mix of new releases and old favorites, sorted loosely enough that browsing still feels like browsing.
A Look Inside
Regulars Say
"I've done my Sunday crossword here so many mornings the staff started saving my corner table before I noticed they were doing it. Except it's not open Sundays anymore, so now it's Tuesdays."
"Our book club got kicked out of two other coffee shops for being too loud. Page & Pour just handed us the big table and an extra pot of tea."
"My kid asks to come back every Saturday for story time. I ask to come back for the cortado. Everybody wins."

The Hop streetcar's St. Paul Ave stop is right around the corner, and there's a parking structure two blocks up on Milwaukee St. We're a short walk from the Riverwalk, so plenty of people wander in after a stroll along the water. Tables fill up fastest Saturday mornings during story time — the shelf side stays quiet all day.
